【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversthemanufacture,assembly,recommendedmaintenanceanduseofcompleteresidentialbasketballsystems.1.2Thisspecificationisintendedtoreducethepotentialhazardsassociatedwiththeinstallationanduseofresidentialbasketballsystems.1.3Thisspecificationisnotintendedtoapplytothefollowing:1.3.1Equipmentintendedtobeusedinplacesofpublicassembly,suchas,butnotlimitedto,schools,parks,publicandprivaterecreationalfacilities.1.3.2Individualcomponents,suchasrim,backboard,pole,portablebasesystem,net,orothercomponentwhenthatcomponentisnotsoldasacompleteresidentialbasketballsystemasdefinedinthisspecification.1.3.3Anyresidentialbasketballsystemthatismountedtoanystructureorsurfaceotherthanthatwhichispurchasedaspartofacompleteresidentialbasketballsystem.Examplesinclude,butarenotlimitedto,roofmounting,wallmounting,oranylocallyorself-manufacturedcomponents.1.3.4Anybasketballequipmentthatdoesnotuseafullsizerim,18-in.(45.72-cm)diameter,orisdesignedforoperationalheightsoflessthen6ft6in.(1.98m)fromtheplayingsurfacetothebottomofthebackboard.1.3.5Accessoriesandadd-ons.1.4Thisspecificationshallapplyonlytoproductsmanufacturedaftersixmonthsfromthedatethisspecificationispublished.1.5Thisspecificationdoesnotcoverproductperformanceorquality,exceptasrelatedtosafety.1.6Thetestsareintendedtouncoverhazards,ratherthantodemonstratethereliabilityofthesystem.Thefactthatamechanismormaterialofasystemfailsduringtestingonlyisrelevantifthefailurecreatesapotentialhazard.1.7Therationaleforprovisionsinthisspecificationaregiveninand.1.8Thevaluesstatedininch-poundaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconverstionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.9Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
