【摘要】:Itisimportanttohavethesulfurcontentofliquefiedpetroleumgasesatlowenoughconcentrationtomeetgovernmentregulations.Thepresenceofsulfurcanresultincorrosionofmetalsurfaces.Sulfurcanbepoisonoustocatalystsinsubsequentprocessing.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftotalsulfurinliquefiedpetroleumgasescontainingmorethan1g/g.Specimensshouldnotcontainmorethan100g/gofhalogens.1.2Toattainthequantitativedetectabilitythatthetestmethodiscapableof,stringenttechniquesmustbeemployedandallpossiblesourcesofsulfurcontaminationmustbeeliminated.Inparticular,cleaningagents,suchascommonhouseholddetergentswhichcontainsulfates,shouldbeavoided.1.3si-value;Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
