【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversauniformprocedureforthedeterminationofstraingagefatiguelifeatambienttemperature.Asuggestedtestingequipmentdesignisincluded.Thistestmethoddoesnotapplytoforcetransducersorextensometersthatusebondedresistancestraingagesassensingelements.Straingagesarepartofacomplexsystemthatincludesstructure,adhesive,gage,leadwires,instrumentation,and(often)environmentalprotection.Asaresult,manythingsaffecttheperformanceofstraingages,includingusertechnique.Afurthercomplicationisthatstraingages,onceinstalled,normallycannotbereinstalledinanotherlocation.Therefore,itisnotpossibletocalibrateindividualstraingages;performancecharacteristicsarenormallypresentedonastatisticalbasis.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortoitsuse.
